Edit the TES.UIConfiguration Table

The TES.UIConfiguration table contains the entry boxes that appear in the TES User Entry Form. The table holds the mappings between the cells in the User Entry Form and the attributes in AF. You can edit this table to specify the fields that should appear in the User Entry Form, based on the attributes in your company's AF database.

To specify the entry boxes that appear in the User Entry Form:

  1. In the TES tree, click the TES Tables expand icon, to expand the list of tables.

  2. Click on the TES.UIConfiguration table to open it.![Figure 1749: Transfers and Tanks Entry Forms Configuration window](/img/docs/edit-tes-UIConfiguration table_tfer-tanks-entry-form-config-WND.png)

This window is divided into two sections:

  • Specify Transfer properties presentation: This section allows you to specify the presentation of transfer properties in the User Entry Form and Pumper's Log.

  • Specify Tanks, Meters, and Transfers attributes presentation: This section allows you to specify the presentation of the transfer related attributes in the available templates.

Transfer Properties Presentation![Figure 1750: Specify Transfer properties presentation section](/img/docs/edit-tes-UIConfiguration table_specify-tfer-props-presentation.png)

Steps 3 through 6 relate to changing the presentation of the Transfer Properties in the User Entry Form and Pumper's Log. Therefore, these step are performed in the 'Specify Transfer properties presentation' section of the window.

The Transfer Property column has a fixed (non-editable) value that maps attributes in AF to values in TES.

  1. To change a Header Display name, select the current name and replace it with a new name.

The name you enter appears in the column header section of the Pumper's Log.

  2. To ensure that a transfer property field appears in the User Entry Form and Pumper's Log, check its Visible checkbox.

When a Transfer Property's checkbox is not checked, that field is not visible in the User Entry Form or Pumper's Log.

  3. To select a different Column Size for a transfer property field, select the current size and replace it with the new size.

  4. To allow Operators to edit a Transfer Property field, uncheck its Read Only checkbox.

When a Transfer Property field's 'Read Only' checkbox is checked, that field is set as "read only," meaning it cannot be edited in TES.

Steps 7 through 11 are for changing the presentation of the Transfer Property Attribute fields in the User Entry Form and Pumper's Log. Therefore, these steps are performed under the 'Specify Tanks, Meters, and Transfers attributes presentation' section.

Prior to performing steps 7 through 12, you must first select the Template in which you need to make the changes.

  5. To change the Display Label name for an attribute field, select the current label and replace it with the new label.

  6. To choose an Attribute for an attribute field, click on its down-arrow and select the appropriate attribute.

  7. To allow the Operators to edit the attribute in an attribute field, uncheck its Read Only checkbox.

When an Attribute's 'Read Only' checkbox is checked, that field is set as "read only," meaning its value cannot be edited.

  8. To select a Unit of Measure (UOM) for an attribute field, click on its down-arrow and select the UOM.

  9. To select a Precision for an attribute field, click on its down-arrow and select the new precision.
